Laura was able to use her skills in pushing through a crowd to get me to the edge of the railing so that I could see the extent of the pit. You can see the from the number of people on the edges of the railings that it was extremely crowded!! Pit 1 is the largest of the pits and was the first found. Archaeologists are still working to excavate the site and they were working when we visited that day!
